Copperas Cove, TX — A private road in Copperas Cove honoring Robert Griffin III may soon become a city street.
The street is an access road for a nearby shopping center and was named after the 2011 Heisman shortly after completion last summer.
And now the city is discussing to make the street name official.
Griffin was a three-star athlete at Copperas Cove Hish School before playing quarterback at Baylor.
He set the NFL on fire last season before winning the league's Rookie of the Year award.
An official dedication with Griffin present is in the works.
