Waco Police are looking for a man responsible for robbing of a Sonic restaurant late last night.

Officers responded to a call around 10PM at the Sonic at 801 South Sixth Street.

A man in jeans and a dark-colored  hooded sweatshirt, wearing a ski mask and goggles, approached an employee who was taking out the trash and demanded they go back inside.

The man told the employee he had a gun and demanded money once inside.

The masked-man was able to flee on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, but police say the employees did the right thing.

“Just give them what they are asking for," said Sgt. Patrick Swanton of Waco PD. "The goal for the employee is to get them out of the business as quickly as possible without anybody getting hurt. I think most businesses would rather lose a small amount of cash than having anybody hurt in a robbery by somebody trying to do something.”

Police are asking for help in finding the man responsible.

If you have any information, you are urged to call Waco PD right away.
