Killeen, TX — The Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood area is projected to see the third largest household growth in the country in the next five years.
But with that growth comes the need for adequate education and career training for the booming population.
Vista College has many campuses thoughout the state and now they are expanding to Central Texas.
The brand new school starts class Monday, Jan. 7th. and is still currently enrolling students.
Programs range from IT support to medical care.
Fort Hood brings thousands of temporary residents to the area each year.
Officals from Vista say an accelerated, hands-on education is perfect for those whose future residence is uncertain.
“In my experience, fast track programs is an opportunity to come in and get short-term training. Get out into the work force, especially in this economy we’re in right now," said Shawn Washington, Vista College's Dean of Admissions.
Vista College joins Cental Texas College as the area’s only community colleges.
