Fort Hood, TX — Accused shooter Major Nidal Hasan was in a Fort Hood courtroom today and that’s where his trial will remain in the future too.
Today in a pre-trial hearing with prosecutors and the Nidal defense team, Judge Colonel Tara Osborn rejected the notion that a trial held at Fort Hood would be biased, which means the court martial for Hasan will remain in Central Texas and at Fort Hood.
She also rejected the request from defense attorneys to pick a new jury pool.
Major Nidal Hasan is facing 13 charges of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted murder for the deadly shootings on Fort Hood's base on November 5, 2009.
