Freestone County Sheriff Thomas Anderson turned himself into authorities at 7:49 a.m. Thursday, after he was given 48 hours to turn himself in. Anderson faces a 20 count indictment.
The charges stem from an investigation into training records by TCLEOSE that go as far back as 2011.
Both men have now posted bond.
"This is hitting pretty close to everybody. He's our friend. We've known him for a very long time," said Willis about Anderson's arrest.
