For those of you traveling a lot this holiday season, you may have already noticed Christmas has come a little early.

Gas prices have been stable and at their lowest prices of the year, according to reports. The Energy Information Administration reported gas prices falling significantly during the week.

In Waco, gas costs an average of $2.97 per gallon. That price is down about 11 cents from one month ago and down three cents from a year ago, according to gasbuddy.com.

Nationally, gas prices are reported as an average of $3.23 a gallon. That average is down nearly ten cents for the week.

Holiday travel, at the end of the year is popular, but still not as traveled as during the summer. Reports indicate California still has the highest gas prices in the country.
