WACO - This year's Storybook Christmas event in Waco will give almost 20,000 books to children in the city.

Officials say the books will be passed out to underprivileged children throughout McLennan County in the next week.

Storybook Christmas is sponsored by the Waco Tribune Herald.

This will be the 19th year for the event.
