Higher prices on smokeless tobacco

Another new law in Texas is chewing at the wallets of some people.

The state wants to make $100 million, by taxing smokeless tobacco.

The price hike varies depending on the weight of the packaged products.

They include pipe tobacco and other roll-your-own products.

This isn't the first time tobacco users have seen an increase; Federal taxes have also made costs go up.

Again, the tax is not based on the price of the product, but rather the weight of it in it's final retail packaging.
