WACO — William Scott Bartlett, 48, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possesion of a prohibited weapon/explosives, two counts of carrying an unlawful weapon and possession of marijauna on Tuesday.

Police say Bartlett in a fit of rage pulled alongside a driver, made an obscene gesture and shot the front right quarter panel of their car.

When an officer stopped Bartlett, he was found with a pistol, a mechete and two PVC pipe bombs.

A jail spokeswoman says Bartlett was released from McLennan County Jail on $30,000 bond Wednesday.
