TORRANCE, Calif. — Honda will voluntarily recalling about 554,000 model-year 2002-2004 CR-V and 2003 Pilot in the United States to inspect and replace parts of the headlight.
Honda experts say there is a potential failure with the wiring of the headlight switch which may cause the low beam headlights to not work. This could lead to wrecks and possible injuries, but none have been reported.
Honda is encouraging owners to take their vehicles Pilot to an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
Mailed notification to customers will begin in late-April 2012. In addition to contacting customers by mail, in late-April, owners will be able to determine if their vehicles require repair by going on-line to www.recalls.honda.com or by calling (800) 999-1009, and selecting option 4.
