JACKPOT ALERT: LOTTO TEXAS® JACKPOT HITS 2012 HIGH OF $30 MILLION
(AUSTIN) – Tonight’s Lotto Texas® jackpot is an estimated $30 million, the biggest jackpot for the game this year. The current jackpot started as a $4 million prize on Aug. 1, and is the result of 26 draws without a jackpot winner. The last Lotto Texas jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Houston for the drawing held on July 28.
If there is no jackpot winner in tonight’s drawing, the Lotto Texas jackpot will be an estimated $31 million for the drawing on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Lotto Texas players win the jackpot by correctly picking six numbers from a field of 54. Players also win prizes for matching three, four or five of the six numbers drawn. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately one in 25.8 million. The odds of winning any of the Lotto Texas prizes are approximately one in 71.
