WACO—Waco High and Brazos Middle School are two of the eleven schools in the state receiving a hefty $500,000 grant.
The money is part of the re-design and restructuring grant aimed at improving student performances.
The funding was only sent to schools that were academically unacceptable in an attempt to boost the program by helping with disciplinary policies.
School officials say the money will help turn in-school-suspensions into a positive behavior support center.
The grant was divided in half, with S=$250,000 going to Waco High and Brazos Middle School.
