Man who fled cops on trial for murder

Bell County, TX — A North Carolina man is now on trial after pleading not guilty to killing two of his passengers after a police chase in Killeen in April of 2012.
John Stanton Beasley and three others fled cops in Killeen after an incident at a pawn shop on Fort Hood Street.
Beasley was driving erratic through downtown Killeen when his Chevy Tahoe slammed into a utility pole. Two of his passengers died form their injuries.
Beasley, 23, could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted of the charges.
