Waco, Tx — Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and local flower shops are working hard to fulfill dozens of orders.
For Reed's Flowers in downtown Waco, Valentine's Day makes up their second busiest business day of the year, right behind mother's day. Already, they say they've scheduled more than 300 valentine's deliveries. Each person that comes in, they say, spends on average 100 dollars. That means, just this flower shop alone, brings in around 30-thousand dollars to the local economy in one day.
"Some people really enjoy it a lot. The best thing is when you're delivering, and you get to see the look on people's faces. And, they just, everybody gets real excited when you bring them flowers," said Reed's Flowers owner, Debbie Reed.
Extra delivery drivers will be brought in to help deliver all the flowers on time. And, if you haven't ordered flowers for your special someone, some local florists are still accepting orders.
