UPDATE: The man shot by police in a domestic disturbance Tuesday night has been identified as 34-year old Seleucus Pollack.
His body has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy. Police have not confirmed if the fatal gunshot wound came from the officer or Pollack himself.
Killeen Police are investigating the death of a 34 year old Killeen man on Granex Drive.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance in the 2200 block of Granex Drive at 5:15pm, Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Upon the officers arrival they located a male and female inside the residence involved in a dispute.
During the time the officers were there, the male produced a handgun in a threatening manner towards the officer; at that time shots were fired from both weapons and the male sustained a fatal wound.
The 31 year old male was pronounced deceased at 6:25pm by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke; he ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
A death investigation is being conducted by the Killeen Police Department at this time. As this case continues to be investigated information will be released as it becomes available.
The name of the male has been withheld at this time.
