Waco, Texas (Waco Police Department) — Since Tuesday the Waco Police Deparment have had two separate incidents in the Cameron Park area near Jacobs Ladder where one woman was assaulted.
The first occurred Tuesday, around noon, when a female was jogging alone in the trails north of Jacobs Ladder. A Hispanic male described as 5’9", 175 pounds with short black hair, approached the woman and touched her inappropriately. When another jogger started down the trail the suspect ran off into the woods. The female was trying to leave the area when she saw the suspect again near Jacobs Ladder. The female left the area and later notified police of the occurrence.
The second incident occurred yesterday also at noon in the same area. In this incident, the woman was walking in the area of Jacobs Ladder when a Hispanic male suspect (matching the same as above description) approached the woman, motioned for her to come with him and then he put his hands into his own pants. This victim was able to contact a Park Ranger in the area who immediately notified police.
The quick contact with police allowed responding officers and detectives to locate a person of interest. Officials are in the process of investigating te incidents and no arrests have been made at this time,
