3 Central Texas residents arrested in Shreveport prostitution ring

On November 9, 2013, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of Shreveport Police Department's Vice Unit received information relative to prostitution activity occurring in the 6700 block of Raspberry Lane in west Shreveport. Members of the Vice Unit began conducting surveillance operations and launched an investigation into the prostitution activity. During the investigation, agents seized around $2,400 of prostitution proceeds and approximately six grams of suspected marijuana.

The operation was a success ending with the following arrests:

  • Taylor Courtney 03-14-1994, of Hewitt, was arrested for Prostitution 2nd Offense (felony) and Possession of Schedule I marijuana 1st offense.
  • Talia Jefferson 09-27-1996, of Killeen, was arrested for Prostitution 1st Offense.
  • Bobby Barrett 07-28-1983, of Waco, was arrested for Human Trafficking and Possession of Marijuana 1st offense.

Those persons arrested were subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail. The Federal Bureau of Investigation Crime Against Children's Task Force assisted with the operation.
