A.J. Moore seniors excluded from merger with University
WACO -- Next year all but A.J. Moore Academy seniors will merge with University High School.
At a special meeting last night the Waco ISD school board voted to keep A.J. Moore seniors separate from the rest of the school that will merge with University for the 2012-2013 school year.
Several factors went into the decision but a main reason was to allow A.J. seniors, who are on a different grading structure than University, to graduate with a strong four-year grade-point-average.
The two schools will still be on one campus.
Both schools will merge completely for the 2013-2014 school year.
