WACO — One person was arrested Tuesday morning after they were caught leaving the scene of a fire.
At around 6:45 a.m., a Waco officer spotted a fire at 13th and Webster. As the policeman was investigating, he saw a man, now known as 26-year old Allen Lee Younger, leaving the scene.
Officials say Younger intentionally set a fire inside a bob-tail type trailer that had been converted into living quarters for homeless persons at 401 S. 13th. The trailer, parked next to the building, then caught fire. .
Waco fire crews and a hazmat team were called to help clean up barrels of paint type chemicals that were damaged and spilled during the fire.
Younger was arrested on site for intentionally setting the fire. He was taken to the McLennan County Jail where he has been booked for arson.
