Killeen, Tx — Killeen detective were able to recover numerous items stolen from several burglaries on Tuesday.
Authorities were investigating a burglary that happened on Monday at a residence in the 4500 block of Windcrest Drive, when police discoverd the location where stolen property was being kept.
During the investigation, police saw two men get in a maroon car that had several stolen items inside. Officers tried to stop the car due to a traffic violation, but the driver refused and a pursuit ensued.
Officers chased the car on FM 439 South to Roy Reynolds and into a mobile home park located at 101 N. Roy Reynolds. The car stopped and both passengers ran from authorities. They 27 and 29-year-old were caught and taken into custody, then transported to the Killeen City Jail. Detectives also arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with this investigation.
The detectives recovered several stolen items from the car, including two handguns. A stolen Nissan Xterra in their possession was also recovered. Law enforcement continues to recover stolen items from several other recent burglaries . These items recovered have been valued at more than $20,000.
The names and photos of the suspects have been withheld pending formal charges received from the Bell County District Attorney’s Office.
Detectives continue to investigate this case and more information will be released as it becomes available.
