Brazos County authorities are looking for a man they say impersonated a police officer, pulled over a woman and then sexually assaulted her.

We're told it happened Wednesday night around 8:00 off State Highway 30 near Bird Pond Road.

Authorities say the white, middle-aged man was driving a dark colored Dodge Charger with police-like lights in the grill.

The victim told investigators once she was stopped, the man made her get out of the car. She says that's when he forced her into the backseat and sexually assaulted her.

Authorities are asking anyone that was in the area at the time who may have seen something to call the Sheriff's office.

They also say that if you are unsure if you're actually being stopped by law enforcement, it's ok to call 911 to verfiy.
