Bell County officials say new leads could provide clues they need to make an arrest into a case involving the murder of a Killeen woman last summer.

Angie Leigh Rogers, 23, of Killeen reportedly died of a gunshot wound, according to the Southwest Institute of Forensics in Dallas. Rogers was reported missing to the Killeen Police Department on July 27, 2013.

According to authorities, a call came in on Sunday, August 5, around 8:45 a.m. from a group of hunters about the discovery of the severely decomposed body, located around the intersection of Chaparral Road and West Trimmier Road, just south of Killeen.

Authorities determined the body appeared to belong to a woman. The body was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate this case. No arrests have yet been made.
