Bellmead man arrested after robbing a bar

Bellmead Police Department arrested a man on aggravated robbery charges Wednesday night.

According to the police report, officers were dispatched to "Quittin Time" bar, located at 1219 New Dallas Road, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night. When officers arrived, witnesses gave a description of the suspect. The officers then located a male, who was later identified as Robert Fuentes, 59, of Bellmead, hiding in a tree line of a trailer park in the 1100 block of New Dallas Road. Fuentes matched the description given to officers.

On the scene, police say witnesses told them Fuentes entered the business, wearing a mask, and displayed a hand gun, demanding money. When Fuentes got the money, he allegedly ordered everyone to the ground while he fled out the back door of the business.

No one was hurt during the robbery. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

Fuentes was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
