Bellmead PD investigates 11-year-old boy falling out of moving vehicle

Bellmead police are investigating an incident where an 11-year-old child fell out of a moving vehicle.

According to Bellmead PD, the incident happened at 3:48 p.m. on Monday. Police and medical personnel were dispatched to the 2100 block of Old Dallas Road about an 11-year-old child who fell out of a car and was not breathing. When officials arrived, the child was breathing but was unresponsive.

The child was taken to a local medical facility by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. Officers later learned that the child was sitting on the door and window frame of the car, with the window down, as the car was traveling. As the vehicle turned into a driveway, the child fell out of the car, hitting his head on the pavement.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the incident is under investigation.
