Body found in Trinity River, authorities investigating

MADISON COUNTY -- On May 28, 2012, at approximately 8:40am, Deputies from the Madison county Sheriff’s Office, along with Game Wardens from Madison and Houston Counties, responded to a call from a passing boater about a human body floating in the Trinity River near the junction of Bedias Creek and the Trinity River.

Officers found a white male floating in the river about 100 yards from his boat.

At this time there is no indication of foul play, the boater was fishing alone in his boat. The body is being sent for autopsy.

The name of the deceased is being held pending notification of next of kin.
