Waco, TX — The City of Waco issued a boil order Monday evening for the northwestern part of the city because of lower than normal amounts of disinfectant in the water.
The order affects customers in an area stretching south of Lake Shore Drive to Colcord Avenue from the Brazos River to MacArthur Drive and North 33rd Street.
Water intended for consumption, cooking or ice making should be boiled vigorously for several minutes before use.
The order will remain in effect until routine tests confirm the water is free of contaminants.
