Bruceville-Eddy — Bruceville-Eddy police discovered several hundred dollars worth of cocaine during a weekend traffic stop.
19-year-old Saul Herrera was originally pulled over in his pickup for a busted headlight around 7:30 p.m. on Friday night. While talking to him, officers became suspicious and asked to search his vehicle. Herrera reportedly consented to the search. That's when officers uncovered more than 22 pounds of cocaine, worth about $300,000, hidden inside the vehicle.
Herrera was booked for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
