Bryan, Texas (KWKT) — Bryan is moving forward with the process of selecting the location of its new skate parks.
In May the city council approved a 1.2 million dollar contract with Grindline Skateparks to build the new parks.
The process started with 52 locations and has now has been narrowed down to 3 parks, Haswell, Hamilton and Williamson Park.
“There's not a definitive decision yet. We need more input certainly. More public input in making sure the design will fit in each one of those areas.”
A deadline for a decision has not been set yet, but the city hopes to break ground on the new parks during October or November.
The next public meeting to discuss the parks will be August 20th.
