On August 16, 2013 at approximately 10:33 a.m., the Bryan Police Department responded to a robbery that had just occurred at 3400 E. SH 21, the Bank and Trust.

Three masked males entered the bank and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. There were no injuries reported in the bank.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a late model crown Victoria gold/brown in color. A vehicle similar in description was later recovered by police in the 3400 block of Colson.

This vehicle was then determined to be the same vehicle that was taken at gunpoint from a female in the Mobiltown Mobile Home Park approximately 20 minutes prior to the bank robbery.

A similar bank robbery and car-jacking happened in Bryan just three weeks ago. Bryan Police Chief Eric Buske says they'll investigate to see if there are any connections.

"I think it's way too early to speculate on it being connected and since we've made arrests of two of the bank robberies and those people are in jail, I'm certain it's not connected to at least two of them but we're still investigating any other possible links."

The Bryan Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5316 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).
