BRYAN -- A Bryan man is robbed at gunpoint and his car was stolen. Now, police are searching for the persons responsible.

The robbery happened just after midnight Monday at the Riverstone Apartments off Broadmoor Street.

Police tell us the victim was approached from behind by a person with a handgun demanding the car keys.

Then, less than two hours later, police received a call that the stolen vehicle was engulfed in flames in the 1200 block of Bradley Street.

"Burning stuff sure does destroy evidence but there is some witness testimony we're looking into that might help lead us to who the suspect might be and find out why and what the actual motive was and why the vehicle was taken and set on fire," said Officer Jon Agnew.

If you have any information about this case, please call the Bryan Police Department immediately.
