Waco, TX — Thought to originally face possession of an explosive device, Bryce Reed will now face a charge of possessing an unregistered firearm.
This comes after a federal grand jury formally indicted Reed on Tuesday night.
Today, Reed was supposed to be in court but that hearing has been postponed indefinitely.
Reed's lawyer, Jonathan Sibley, has gone on to say his client will plead not guilty to the federal charge.
Today’s hearing was supposed to determine the bond status of Reed, who will remain in custody until the bond hearing can be rescheduled.
Sibley has stated many times that Reed had nothing to do with the West fertilizer explosion in which Reed acted as a first responder.
