Milam County, TX — The Milam County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit completed a two-month long investigation into the trafficking of marijuana near Cameron Elementary on Monday.
Sheriff Greene and his deputies executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Terral Court, seizing a pistol and over a pound and a half of marijuana. Deputies also located and seized items commonly used for selling marijuana, as well as close to one-thousand dollars in cash.
Lt. Clore arrested Kevin Bailey, a 28-year-old Cameron resident, at the home. Bailey was charged with possession of marijuana less than 5 pounds - in a drug free zone, which is a third degree felony.
Bailey is currently in the Milam County Jail. The addition of the “drug free zone” is an enhancement to the criminal charge due to the fact that Bailey had the marijuana so close to the school.
