College Station PD looking for bank robber

COLLEGE STATION -- 5:30 update: Investigators have received information from other law enforcement sources that the suspect in this case is similar in appearance and method of operation to a suspect in several other bank robberies across the state and in Arkansas. The suspect in question is being associated with the bank robber known as the “Loan Ranger Bandit.”

On August 17th 2012, at approximately 11:29 AM, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to the FedStar Credit Union located in the 700 block of Harvey Road for a report of an aggravated robbery. Upon arrival, officers were told that a male suspect had entered the bank with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.

Suspect Description: White male
Medium build
In his 20’s
Stubble-like facial hair
Wearing glasses
Ball Cap (Black with green shamrock)
Black basketball shorts
Black high top shoes
Black zip up nylon athletic jacket

Vehicle Description: Small blue or silver vehicle

No employees or customers were injured during the robbery. This incident remains under investigation by the College Station Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
