A McLennan County man is scheduled to die Tuesday evening in the state death chamber in Huntsville for a 2003 shooting which left one man dead.

Carroll Joe Parr, 35, was sentenced in 2004 for shooting and killing 18-year-old Joel Dominguez outside a Waco convenient store. In May 2012, he lost his Federal appeal of his sentencing.

The January 2003 shooting followed a drug deal and robbery. Dominguez was with a friend who was injured but survived.

Parr admits he planned the drug deal but says his friend was responsible for the robbery and shooting. Parr has reportedly been known on the streets as "Outlaw".
