Copperas Cove PD arrests 15 in drug trafficking case
Copperas Cove Police Department — The Copperas Cove Police Department and Bell County Organized Crime Unit conducted an investigation into the possession and distribution of controlled substances, namely methamphetamine, in the Copperas Cove area.
The investigation spanned approximately six months and resulted in 36 Sealed Indictments. The indictments were for offenses ranging from Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group One - Less Than One Gram to Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group One – One Gram or More but Less than Four Grams – Drug Free Zone. The punishments range from State Jail Felonies to First Degree Felonies.
As of June 3, fifteen people have been arrested from the aforementioned indictments. The Copperas Cove Police Department and the Bell County Organized Crime Unit will continue to work together to stop the distribution of narcotics in the Central Texas area.
