The City of Copperas Cove Public Works Department has confirmed the Water Control & Improvement District (WCID) is experiencing a mechanical failure. The failure was originally reported during the evening hours of December 8, 2013. It has resulted in a flow problem to the City of Copperas Cove.

Currently, Public Works has confirmed there are sufficient water levels in the local storage tanks, but authorities are asking for customers to voluntarily conserve and monitor water use until WCID resolves the problem. The quality of the water has NOT been affected, just the quantity.

Officials say they appreciate the patience and cooperation of the affected customers and updates will be provided as they become available. Additional information or concerns regarding this matter should be directed to Public Works at (254) 547-0751.
