(CNN) — A North Carolina couple tied the knot on Friday at a hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The reason? So the bride's father could attend.
Krystal and Michael Neddham were originally supposed to be married in June, but they changed the date and the location because Krystal's father, Kenneth Whitesell, is dying.
He says this was a special moment.
"This is the best day of my life. I saw another daughter get married, and I'm so glad that I was a part of it," said Whitesell.
Whitesell has cancer and doctors say he isn't expected to get much better.
His advice to his daughter and new son in law, 'just take care of each other and we will all be fine.'
