CS hotel employee arrested for stealing $8,300 in jewelry

COLLEGE STATION -- A College Station hotel employee steals jewelry from a guest's room and later tells police it was quote a "terrible mistake."

Police say they were called to the Four Points hotel off Texas Avenue for a report of missing jewelry.

18-year-old Jessica Reyes was the housekeeper who had last cleaned the victim's room and when police spoke with Reyes she admitted to stealing the earrings, worth $8,300.

Reyes gave the earrings back and was arrested for theft.
