COLLEGE STATION, Tx (KYLE) — A College Station man who didn't want to pay for his own electricity decided to steal someone else's.

20-year-old Harvey Manning allegedly took his neighbor's electric meter and used it for his unit.

Police were called to the Parkway Circle Apartments when a utilities worker noticed the missing meter.

Manning reportedly told police he took the meter so he could have power back in his apartment.

He was charged with criminal mischief.
