COLLEGE STATION, Tx (KYLE) — If you haven't been out to Wolf Pen Creek lately then you may not have noticed its makeover.
Today the city of College Station and the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce celebrated the park's new look with a ribbon cutting.
For the past several months the park has been under construction getting major upgrades which include: new sidewalks, lighting, additional parking and drainage improvements just to name a few.
"What this area is going to allow us to do is bring in larger events, expand what we currently have and bring a lot of people to town," said CS Parks and Recreation Director, David Schmitz. "We're really pushing our tourist industry and this will be a facility that will be able to handle these types of events."
The new festival site's upgrades cost a total of $900,000 dollars.
