Downtown streets, portion of Riverwalk to close for Fourth on the Brazos Celebration

Waco, Texas (July 2, 2014) – Several downtown streets, along with a portion of the Riverwalk, will be temporarily closed in preparation for the annual Fourth on the Brazos celebration and Fireworks display.

Closures will take place on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 and will affect the following areas:

Thursday:
• The Riverwalk along University Parks Drive from Bosque Boulevard to Washington Avenue
• University Parks Drive from Franklin Avenue to Bosque Avenue
• Washington Avenue from 3rd Street to MLK Boulevard
• Jefferson Avenue from 3rd Street to University Parks Drive
• Trice Avenue from Elm Street to Bridge Street
• Bridge Street from MLK Boulevard to Trice Avenue
• Jackson Avenue from 8th Street to University Parks Drive
Friday:
• University Parks Drive from Webster Avenue to Bosque Boulevard
• Franklin Avenue from 4th Street to MLK Boulevard
• 3rd Street from Mary Avenue to Washington Avenue
• Austin Avenue from 3rd Street to 4th Street
• Elm Street from MLK Boulevard to Mann Street
• Bridge Street from MLK Boulevard to the railroad tracks
• Taylor Street from MLK Boulevard to the railroad tracks
• MLK Boulevard from I-35 to Bering Avenue
