DPS needs help locating fugitive that may be in the area

BRAZOS COUNTY -- The Texas Department of Public Safety, in partnership with the Office of the Governor, Texas Crime Stoppers program, identifies select fugitives and wanted sex offenders who pose the most significant threat to public safety in the state.

Individuals who provide information leading to the arrest of one of these fugitives or sex offenders can earn a cash reward in the amount designated for each person.

Daniel Pineda, JR., is affiliated with the Latin Kings gang and was born in Bryan, Texas. He has been arrested ten times and received prison sentences five times for various offenses, including Burglary of a Habitation, Fleeing Police, and Drug Possession.

He is known to burglarize homes during daytime hours and will take anything of value. When approached by law enforcement, Pineda will likely flee to avoid arrest.

On January 24, 2012, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for PINEDA's arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Burglary of a Habitation).

On May 1, 2012, the Brazos County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

PINEDA has friends and family in the Bryan, Texas area.

Up to $7,500 reward is being offered for the capture of Pineda.
