One man was injured early Thursday morning after two alleged robbers stole $1 from him in Lufkin.

At 12:55 a.m., a man was walking on the 1800 of East Denman Avenue when he was approached by an unknown person. The person asked the man for money. When the man replied he had none, he was hit in the back of his head by another unknown person, knocking him to the ground.

The first suspect threatened him and the victim gave him all the money on him-- four quarters. Both robbers then ran from the scene.

One of the robbers is described as a black male, about 20-years-old, wearing a red shirt and a hat turned sideways. The second suspect was never seen.

The victim suffered a minor cut to his forehead.
