A fireworks display in the small town of Comanche, Texas, has exploded and officials are reporting one person has died.
According to reports, the explosion occurred at Comanche High School around 9:00 a.m., when a trailer holding fireworks for the community's celebration blew up near the baseball field.
KXAN reports the Comanche County Medical Center says three people were treated for burns and then released and one person has been transferred to a burn unit.
The Kiwanas Club puts on a fourth of july show at the high school every year. All activities for Friday have been canceled.
The 2010 census reports Comanche, which is 140 miles southwest of Dallas, has a population of around 4,335 residents.
