A former LaVega High School football star was sentenced to five years in prison Monday in Judge Ralph Strother's courtroom for violating his probation.

Christopher Dontae Parr, 22, was placed on probation after he was found guilty of an October 2011 robbery. Police say he and another man stole a large amount of cash from a victim at the Metro Bar, located in the 700 block of Austin Avenue in Waco.

Parr is also the nephew of Carroll Joe Parr, who was executed about two weeks ago for a 2003 robbery and murder.
