Fort Hood soldier sentenced to federal prison after stealing C-4
Fort Hood — A Fort Hood solider has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to stealing C-4 from the U.S. Army.
Tyler Glen Patrick has been ordered to serve 10 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release and must pay a $1,00 fine.
The soldier pleaded guilty on April 3, to stealing a 1.25-pound block of C-4.
Authorities stated, on December 17, Patrick stole the explosive after a field exercise in Fort Hood. He then attempt to sell the C-4 online.
The charge could have carried a punishment of up to ten years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
