Waco, tx — Quick-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opens Monday on the northwest corner of Hewitt Drive and Mars Drive in the Greater Southwest Region of Waco. Freddy’s menu includes cooked-to-order steakburgers and shoestring fries, as well as dessert treats prepared with freshly-churned chocolate and vanilla frozen custard.
“Area residents may be familiar with the Freddy’s concept; there are three [locations] in the Dallas area and a location in Killeen, Harker Heights, and Bryan, in addition to several other Texas markets,” franchise owner Keith Alter said. “But for those who are unfamiliar, I urge you to visit. Many of our guests enjoy the Freddy’s Original Double. And, for dessert, you’ll want to try our freshly-churned frozen custard. It’s similar to ice cream, but richer and creamier. Feel free to top it with a few of our more than 30 toppings and flavored syrups.”
The Freddy’s concept brings to life the America of the late 1940s and early 50s, a post-war era of pride and values focusing on quality family time. The Hewitt Drive and Mars Drive location features abundant indoor seating, patio access, and drive-thru service.
“This is the 26th Freddy’s for the state of Texas,” COO Scott Redler said. “That’s about ¼ of our overall unit count; our growth in Texas is just astounding. Keith and team have hired a great crew of local individuals and I’m confident they’ll uphold the service standards set forth by our surrounding area locations. Our restaurants also seek to stay active in the community, with many creating successful and long-lasting partnerships with local non-profits and area schools. We strive to give-back to the communities in which we operate; collaborative partnership ideas of all types are always welcome.”
