It''s out with the old and in with the new at Texas A&M as crews work to make room for the new Kyle Field redevelopment project.

And that means saying goodbye to a campus landmark, the G. Rollie White Coliseum.

"New is good but old is sometimes good too."

Robert Ward has lived in Bryan-College Station his whole life and has a lot of memories associated with G. Rollie White so during his lunch break Tuesday he came by to see the progress made.

"It'll be down in a few days so you kind of just want to remember it and think about things while you can," Ward said.

While many Aggies are sad to see the historical landmark go, others are just excited about what the changes will bring.

Incoming freshman Gerardo Rocha said, "The coliseum, it doesn't really have any meaning to me, so it will be nice to see the new construction of Kyle Field."

We're told the process should take about 20 days to complete and the bricks from the coliseum will be auctioned off online by the athletic department.

While the building will soon be gone forever, the memories will last a lifetime.
