Across the state, gas prices have dropped at least two cents, on average this week.

In Waco, gas prices have dropped one cent since yesterday. The average price of gas in the city, according to gasbuddy.com,  is $3.03. Last week, the average price of gas was $3.04.

According to AAA, the most expensive gas in the state is in El Paso, where gas is $3.15 per gallon.  The cheapest gas is in Amarillo, where prices are $2.97 per gallon.

The decline in prices could be attributed to subzero temperatures, which has decreased the demand for gas, says AAA.  AAA also explains says some parts of the nation have experienced higher prices at the pump "because of the extremely cold temperatures causing refinery issues".
