Hewitt PD, FD partner with Marine Corps in 'Toys for Tots' drive

The Hewitt Police and Fire Departments have partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps for the collection of toys during city functions through the month of December. New – Unwrapped toys can be donated at the Hewitt Police Department (204 Chama Hewitt, TX 76643), or at Hewitt Park on December 8, 2012 during the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30.

The City of Hewitt will be hosting its Annual Christmas Parade on December 8, 2012 beginning at 4:00 pm on N. Hewitt Drive. The parade will begin at Midway Middle School and end at Chama Dr.

At 5:30 pm, following the Christmas Parade, the City of Hewitt will be hosting the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Hewitt Park. (801 S. Hewitt Dr. Hewitt, TX) During this event, children can visit with Santa Claus, have a free picture taken, and visit with the U.S. Marine Corp- who will be on hand accepting new, unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots Program.

Please come out for the fun filled festivities and donate a toy for a child who may not have a Christmas without this fantastic program!
